THE FUTURE
Going forward, I am planning to focus more on what I am most passionate about, in terms of making and selling jewelry: custom jewelry, wedding and engagement rings, and art jewelry. I am planning to stop making ready-to-wear production jewelry, except for a select few signature designs, like the RELDlink pearl necklaces, RELDnails, and the upcycled chain rings that everyone loves.
I plan to attend only few more markets to try to sell off my current production stock, more info on which markets you can find me at is coming soon! Otherwise, you can find a selection of KING RELD Jewelry at One of One Gallery inside of Framezilla in Point Breeze (6741 Reynolds Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15206). This gallery is also home to many other local artists and craftspeople.

Additionally, in the not-so-distant future, I am very excited to be taking a 5-day Stone Setting Intensive in Tennessee at a well-renowned setting school called New Approach School for Jewelers. This will be a huge step forward toward my ability to further my custom jewelry design and stone setting techniques.
THE PAST YEAR
So much has happened this year! KING RELD had its best year yet in 2025 and from the looks of it, I think 2026 will beat it in terms of sales and the amount of custom commissions I have had the honor of creating. That is huge for a small business like mine and I appreciate every single one of you out there who has supported me this year. It means so much when you tell your friends and family about my jewelry, because word-of-mouth is the #1 way that I reach new people and customers.

This was a big year for me both jewelry-wise and other parts of my life and I wanted to give you an update:
The farm I have worked on for about 1 day a week from the last 9 years began the process of becoming a co-op in January. I am now a co-owner of be.wild.er farm with my spouse and 3 of our friends, including Megan, who founded the farm in 2015. This year, we decided on a new business model and began selling our produce online with 4 pickup locations throughout the Pittsburgh, as well as selling at the Bloomfield Farmers Market about once a month! be.wild.er farm runs til the week before Thanksgiving, so if you are local and interested in checking it out and buying your produce from us, please do so here! I am currently managing communications and delivery to our wholesale clients who are mostly chefs in Pittsburgh. We sell our vegetables to Scratch & Co, The Vandal, Casbah, Butterjoint, and Wise County Biscuits in Pittsburgh!
My manual-turn steel pepper roaster built at Penland School of Craft.
Early this year, I was invited by Thomas Campbell, a steel fabrication artist in North Carolina, to help assist his 2-week Steel Fabrication class at Penland School of Craft in June. It was my 3rd time at Penland and my first time assisting a class. The cool thing about assisting a class at Penland, is that you also get to participate in the class you assist and make what the other students are making. I had taken a similar class from Thomas in 2022 at Penland during 6 wk session on steel fabrication. I learned how to weld with both TIG and MIG and we made a lot of things in that class (ei. a couple steel boxes with lids, a shelf to hang on the wall, a cone that I turned into a cup, and a pair of candlesticks). With that knowledge, I was able to create a pepper roaster while I was there in June and, surprisingly, finished it early enough to be able to use it at the Iron Studio Cookout at the end of the class session. We are now using it with our be.wild.er farm peppers!
A huge undertaking, this year, was planning and executing our wedding at the end of August, and yes, in the height of farm season! My spouse Crescent and I decided against hiring a wedding planner and did it all ourselves with a lot of much needed help of some of our family and friends. We grew all of the vegetables and flowers for our wedding at be·wild·er farm and Chef Beth Zozula curated the menu for our reception. Crescent also designed and screen printed our wedding invitations and the napkin tables settings and I created both our wedding jewelry! It was a glorious, community-oriented event at Allegheny River Trail Park in Pittsburgh.

Last but not least, at the end of July, my old Toyota Sienna minivan got stolen from outside my studio 3 weeks before our wedding. As you can imagine, it was so stressful to leave my studio to return home and find no car where I had parked it. The car didn’t have any damage when we found it parked just a few blocks away a week later, which was a huge relief, but the insurance company decided on totalling it anyway because the locks and ingnition needed replaced since the thief had the keys and would end up costing more than the value of my cherished old car. It was such a blow, but I have been grateful to borrow countless friends’ cars and ride my bike to work while I search for a new car.
